Relay for Life

Brooke Melton, Event Chair for Relay of Life of Greenfield,

The Relay for Life is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community.   Brooke Melton, Event Chair for Relay of Life of Greenfield, spoke to Kiwanis about the June 12-June 13 event.  The Greenfield event will take place at Football field of Greenfield-Central High School starting on Friday evening at 6 p.m. with teams taking turns walking on the track.  Each team will have pledges of support or contributions.  The Relay will end on Saturday at noon.  The relay symbolizes the battle waged around the clock by those facing cancer.  All funds raised go toward cancer research, education and prevention and free information and services.
If you are interested in forming a team, contributing to a team or more information contact Brooke Melton via e-mail at brookem1016@yahoo.com or see www.RelayForLife.org/Greenfield .
