NineStar serving our community

Dave Spencer, Marketing Director for NineStar™ Connect informed Kiwanis about the company, their services, and local impact.  On January 1, 2011, Hancock Telecom and Central Indiana Power merged cooperatives into what is now known as NineStar™ Connect.  The company has 115 employees and serves customers in Hancock and parts of Hamilton, Madison and Rush counties.

The company provides voice, long distance, digital television, electric, broadband, and home security services.  Recent innovations and products include nest thermostats.  Most people leave the house at one temperature and forget to change it. The Nest learns the homeowners schedule, programs itself and can be controlled from your phone. Nest can lower heating and cooling bills up to 20%.

Fiber in the home delivers Broadband internet connectivity and NineStar™ TV to homes.
Worry free hot water is a new hot water heater leasing program.

NineStar™ is active in the communities they serve.  Each year NineStar™ provides fifteen,  $1,000 scholarships to local seniors.  They have sponsored the 4H Queen Contest and local fireworks display.  They are sponsors of the Riley Spring Concert Series.

For further information on any of their services see http://www.ninestarconnect.com/ or call 317-326-3131.
