2014 Scholarship Winners

 Susie Broome, Kiwanis Scholarship Chair: Megan Kube: Emily Reger: and Clara Starkey



The Kiwanis Club presented the 2014 scholarships to the three recipients on Tuesday.  Susie Broome chaired the scholarship selection committee.  Each student received a $1,000 scholarship named for a Kiwanian and dedicated to an area of interest of the Kiwanian.

The Dr. William Griffing Scholarship in Science was presented to Megan Kube who was home schooled.  Megan teaches piano lessons, studied in Bolivia with Food Resources Bank, and will attend Ave Maria University in Florida where she will study Health Sciences and Pre-Medicine.

The J.B. Stephens Scholarship in Education was presented to Emily Reger, a graduate ofEastern Hancock High School.  Emily was a volunteer in a special needs class, Student Council President, and a member of the Varsity Softball and Volleyball teams.  Emily will attend Ball State University where she will study Speech and Language Pathology.

The Robert Eagleston Scholarship in Business was presented to Clara Starkey, a graduate of Greenfield Central High School.  Clara was an Academic Top 10, finalist for the Hancock County Lilly Endowment Scholarship, and President of the Key Club.  She will attend IUPUI where she will study Finance.
