Ciara Nienhaus, Monica Holden and Kellie McBride of Hancock
Wellness Center informed Kiwanis about the Center’s programs and
membership. The center, a part of the
Hancock Regional Hospital, recently achieved certification by the Medical
Fitness Association (MFA), making it the only certified medical fitness center
in central Indiana, and one of only 30 in the entire nation. The center features a full line of new
Technogym strength and cardio fitness equipment, certified staff, a lap
swimming pool, full-court basketball, clinically-integrated programs, and a
variety of fitness classes.
As a medical fitness facility non-member services include 60
day cardiac and 60 day diabetes programs.
The Arthritis Foundation program is also available that can include Tai
Chi and water exercise.
Members of the fitness center have daily access to all of
the programs and equipment as well as the numerous classes the center
holds. Classes include cycling, pilates,
body sculpting, Zumba, yoga, kickboxing, and aquatics classes.
